Compress Image to Size

Set a size in KB and get an image at or just under it, with exact pixels if your form asks for them.

Size goal

These are common sizes, not any organisation's official rules, and we can't promise a form will accept the result. Check your form's current rules.

Location and camera details are removed from every result. Your images are compressed by this browser and never uploaded.

Common questions

Will the result be under my limit?

Yes whenever it is possible. The tool tries different quality levels and pixel sizes and keeps the best one at or under your limit. If it cannot be reached, it tells you and gives you the closest result.

How do you count a KB?

As 1,000 bytes. A form that counts 1,024 bytes allows slightly more, so the result fits both ways.

Will my exam or government form accept it?

We can’t promise that. The presets are common sizes, not any organisation’s official rules. Check your form’s current rules for size, pixels and photo requirements.

What if my photo is a different shape from the exact pixels?

Choose Crop to fill, which trims the edges, or Add white borders, which shows the whole image. Photos are never stretched.

Is location data removed?

Yes. GPS position and camera details are removed from every result.
